Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Cardiac ICU with a 1:1–1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage and monitor critically ill patients including those with complex cardiac and mixed ICU diagnoses
- Operate and interpret GE telemetry monitors and manage ventilated patients
- Collaborate with an in-house Hospitalist (24/7), Respiratory Therapy (24/7), and Pharmacy (24/7) teams
- Float to telemetry or med/surg units as needed
- Complete a proctored, pass/fail Dysrhythmia Test on the first day of assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in California
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Recent, hands-on experience with fresh open heart surgery patients
- Experience with mixed ICU patient populations
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with GE telemetry monitoring systems
- Comfort with self-scheduling in a structured, manager-reviewed scheduling environment
- Prior experience floating to telemetry or med/surg units
