    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients with complex cardiovascular and critical care needs.
    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments encompassing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and synthesize data to develop and update individualized plans of care.
    • Implement care consistent with healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures, including bedside point-of-care testing and population-appropriate interventions.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient outcomes, communicate relevant clinical information, and promote continuity of care.
    • Assess and anticipate discharge needs for patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care issues and high-risk discharge planning in a timely manner.
    • Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care practices while promoting a safe, clean, and secure environment.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of North Carolina.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
    • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
    • Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program.
    • Experience in a cardiovascular or critical care setting.
