Contract | Night Shift | 12-hour shifts, 7 on / 7 off
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Cardiovascular ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity
Manage and titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including Dexmedetomidine, Propofol, Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Epinephrine, Levophed, Insulin, and Cardene
Care for patients with diagnoses including AMI, CAD, and PVD, including fresh open-heart surgery patients arriving directly from the OR
Operate and monitor advanced hemodynamic support devices including IABP and CRRT
Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using in-room monitoring systems
Float as needed to ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry units across both campuses based on department skill needs
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure
Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract signing
Experience with IABP, CRRT, and fresh post-operative open-heart surgery patients
Ability to meet weekend requirement of 2 weekend shifts per pay period and holiday coverage as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Impella device management
Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
Familiarity with respiratory support equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and high-flow oxygen therapy
