    Job Title

    Travel RN – Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) | Night Shift (7P–7A)

    Location

    Overland Park, KS | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 shifts/week | Projected Start: September 28, 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed Cardiovascular ICU at a 2:1 patient ratio
    • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Alaris IV Pumps, GE Bedside Monitors, IABP, and Impella devices
    • Perform and assist with advanced cardiovascular procedures including open heart procedure recovery, ECMO cannulation support, and Cath/EP Lab recovery
    • Manage patients requiring telemetry, pressors, positive inotropes, pacemakers, chest tubes, and pericardial drains with frequent site and vital sign assessments
    • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech documentation system
    • Float to Medical ICU and floor units as needed per unit floating policy; fulfill 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license (must meet state requirements for Kansas)
    • Required Certifications: ACLS/BLS or ALS/BLS
    • Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience
    • Demonstrated proficiency with telemetry, pressors, positive inotropes, pacemakers, chest tubes, Cath/EP Lab recovery, pericardial drains, and frequent vital sign assessments
    • Must adhere to required dress code: Royal Blue Scrubs
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior CVICU-specific experience strongly preferred
    • Charge nurse experience, particularly for night shift
    • Familiarity with IABP and Impella device management
    • Experience with ECMO cannulation procedures
