    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity CVICU setting, including management of fresh post-op cardiac surgery patients (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR)
    • Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV insulin protocols, continuous IV paralytics, neuromuscular blockade, and sedation
    • Operate and monitor advanced cardiac support devices including Impella, IABP, and CRRT using PrisMax
    • Perform ventilator management, vented patient care, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABGs, and chest tube insertion/removal
    • Monitor hemodynamics via A-lines, FloTrac/Vigileo, and temporary pacers; interpret dysrhythmias and 12-lead EKGs
    • Float within skillset to all ICUs, PACU ICU holds, ED ICU holds, and Cardiac IMC units as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New Jersey RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
    • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
    • Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required; SICU experience may be considered if initial training was completed in a CVICU
    • Must have hands-on experience with fresh post-op cardiac cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR
    • Must have experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using PrisMax
    • EPIC charting experience required
    • Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs
    • Locals are welcome and accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun and lumbar drain management
    • Background in multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and acute stroke (CVA) care
    • Familiarity with CVVHD/CRRT and renal failure management in a cardiac ICU context
    • Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
