Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients received directly from the OR, including sedated and intubated patients on multiple drips with Swan-Ganz catheters in place
Manage and titrate vasoactive and other continuous IV drips with precision
Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Impella, IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump), temporary pacemakers, pericardial and pleural chest tubes, and ventilators
Perform and oversee CRRT/Prismaflex therapy as indicated
Float to ED, ICU, and CVIMC units as needed per staffing requirements
Adhere to all facility compliance policies, including documentation standards within the electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
Active RN license (pending licenses considered; active license preferred at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience with Open Heart surgery experience required
Experience with ECMO, Impella, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility — local candidates will not be accepted
Two professional references required from assignments worked within the last 12 months (references within 6 months preferred)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous charge nurse experience preferred
EPIC electronic health record experience preferred
