    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide high-acuity nursing care in a busy CVICU setting with 1:2 ratios and occasional 1:1 ratios across two units totaling 25 beds
    • Care for patients with complex cardiac and thoracic diagnoses including heart and lung transplants, LVAD, ACB, and valve surgeries
    • Titrate vasoactive and other cardiac drips; manage and monitor patients on advanced devices including LVAD, CRRT/SLED, Impella, and IABP
    • Work within an intensivist model alongside a charge RN, PCAs, and RT staff assigned to the unit with hardwire monitoring
    • Adhere to unit-based scheduling needs including every-other-weekend (EOW) and holiday availability; float to other units based on competency as needed
    • Document accurately using EPIC electronic health records
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of Texas
    • Minimum 3+ years of ICU nursing experience in a high-acuity setting
    • EPIC proficiency required
    • Experience titrating vasoactive drips for cardiac patients
    • Willingness to float based on unit needs and competency
    • Availability for every-other-weekend (EOW) shifts; no self-scheduling
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience, particularly in large, high-volume hospital environments
    • CRRT training and experience (on-the-job training available for qualified candidates)
    • Familiarity with advanced cardiac devices including Impella and IABP
    • Experience in a Level 1 Trauma center or similarly complex acute care environment
