    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an 18-bed CVICU managing diagnoses including heart failure, STEMI, pulmonary emboli, arrhythmias, and MICU overflow at a busy Level 1 Trauma center
    • Manage and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips including epinephrine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, cardene, and others as indicated
    • Monitor and manage hemodynamic lines including pulmonary artery catheters (PAC), CVP, and arterial lines; operate and troubleshoot ventilators; perform competent suctioning and identify issues requiring escalation
    • Operate and monitor advanced cardiac support devices including IABP, Impella, and CRRT; manage sheaths and participate in sedation and paralytic protocols using BIS and TOF monitoring
    • Independently interpret cardiac rhythm strips using HP monitoring systems
    • Float to similar units as needed; cover holidays and days immediately surrounding holidays as required
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license with eligibility to work in Texas
    • ACLS certification required
    • BLS certification required
    • Proficiency with Epic electronic health record documentation
    • Minimum 3+ years of CVICU or comparable critical care experience in a high-acuity, high-volume hospital setting
    • Must be open to floating to similar units and flexible with scheduling to meet unit needs
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
    • Experience working in a large, busy hospital environment with high patient acuity
    • Familiarity with CRRT, IABP, Impella, and advanced sedation/paralytic monitoring (BIS & TOF)
    • Comfort with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with occasional 1:1 assignments
