Travel RN – CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 2 weekend shifts biweekly | No on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform and manage hemodynamic monitoring including Swan Ganz catheters, arterial lines, and chest tubes
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including GE monitors, EV1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (NextStage), Impella, and mechanical ventilators
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic medical records system
- Collaborate with an all-RN staff team under the guidance of a Charge Nurse Coordinator on each shift
- Float to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, or Cardiac PCU as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (compact or Texas state license)
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any critical care specialty)
- Demonstrated ventilator management experience
- Proficiency in arterial line, central line, and chest tube management
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CVICU-specific experience including CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella management
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- BSN degree and/or CCRN certification
