    Description

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, electrophysiology procedures (ablations, pacemaker/ICD insertions and revisions, EP studies, loop recorder insertions), structural heart procedures (TAVR, LAAO), and interventional neurology procedures (carotid stenting, stroke thrombectomy, aneurysm embolization, TCAR)
    • Prepare procedure rooms and patients for procedures; obtain and record patient information; conduct pre- and post-procedural nursing assessments and monitoring
    • Independently circulate all procedures performed in the Cardiovascular and EP Lab; accurately document procedures in real time using electronic documentation and MacLab/CardioLab systems
    • Administer procedural sedation and participate in Full Stop/Time Out processes in accordance with facility policies
    • Operate specialized cardiology equipment including X-ray fluoroscopy, intra-cardiac ultrasound, and 3D mapping systems
    • Respond to on-call pager as required; actively participate in preceptorship of new staff and maintain required certifications and annual mandatory training
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
    • Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma from an accredited program, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN within 36 months of hire if not already obtained)
    • Prior experience in ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab - new graduates and candidates with Med/Surg-only experience are not being considered at this time
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    • Prior RN experience in a Cardiovascular and/or Electrophysiology Lab setting
    • Familiarity with hemodynamics, 3D mapping systems, and structural heart procedures
    • Specialty certification in cardiovascular or a related area
