    Travel RN – Cardiac PICU (Nights)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct critical care nursing to pediatric congenital cardiac patients in a 10-bed Cardiac ICU setting with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
    • Manage post-operative care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF management, chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy and open chest patients
    • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Philips monitors, Med Fusion and Baxter pumps, centrimag, Prismax, and Arctic Sun devices
    • Administer and monitor moderate sedation per unit protocols
    • Collaborate with board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists and an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient and family-centered care
    • Document accurately using Meditech EMR; adhere to weekend scheduling requirements of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience
    • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
    • Experience working in a pediatric or neonatal cardiac intensive care environment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Peritoneal dialysis and/or CRRT skills
    • ECMO bedside experience
    • Flexible, organized, and strong communicator with a willingness to resource and teach
