Contract | Rotating Shift (Day/Night) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Days: 7:00am–7:30pm / Nights: 7:00pm–7:30am
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
- Rotate between day and night shifts as needed to meet operational needs of the unit
- Participate in required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
- Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in CVICU or the specialty being applied for
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active NIHSS certification required
- All required certifications must be active and in hand at time of submission — no pending certifications accepted
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required (co-worker references will not be accepted)
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CVICU experience gained within a single location
- Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication safety assessment tools
- Experience working in a high-acuity cardiovascular critical care environment
