Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour monitoring and advanced nursing care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries
- Manage patients with severe cardiac and/or respiratory conditions in a high-acuity cardiothoracic intensive care setting
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and patient management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver specialized critical care in a Level 1 Trauma environment
- Participate in weekly unit orientation as required
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact eligibility
- Minimum of 2–3 years of total nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a CT/CVICU setting
- ACLS (AHA) certification required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgical patients
- Familiarity with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and vascular support devices
- Strong critical thinking skills in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
