    Travel RN – CVICU Float Pool

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Alternating weekends | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed cardiovascular ICU setting with patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
    • Manage titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics for critically ill cardiovascular patients
    • Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, IABP, CRRT, Impella, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, and hypothermia devices
    • Perform and assist with unit procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, chest tube maintenance, bronchoscopy, EGD, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
    • Interpret telemetry, manage hemodynamic monitoring, and perform PA catheter setup and interpretation including transvenous pacing
    • Document all patient care activities using Cerner; float to all areas of the facility per traveler floating policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
    • Proficiency in titration of vesicant medications and familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics
    • Experience with mechanical ventilators and tracheostomy care
    • Competency in telemetry interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring including PA catheter setup and interpretation
    • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with alternating weekends
    • Compliance with dress code: all navy or navy and white scrubs; no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CCRN certification preferred
    • Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
    • Familiarity with Cerner documentation system
    • Experience with transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) monitoring
