Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Pending License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience with mechanical circulatory support, postoperative care, and specialized monitoring - Proficiency with cardiac devices such as IABP and Impella Description: Position involves providing exceptional care in the Cardio-thoracic Intensive Care Unit. The role requires experience in managing post-operative patients following cardiac and thoracic surgeries. Nurses will be responsible for monitoring patients requiring mechanical support. The ideal candidate should have experience with pulmonary artery lines and advanced cardiac devices. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed. Floating to ICU units within the hospital may be required. Skills in vent management, IV starts, and dysrhythmia interpretation are essential. The unit is a fast-paced environment focused on critically ill patients. Training and competency assessments will be required prior to patient care responsibilities.
