Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Previous charge experience is a plus. Must have experience in patient ratios of 1:2. Travel experience is required. Description: Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit for night shifts. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for those with travel experience. The position involves caring for critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions. The nurse will manage various intensive care activities, including arterial line management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients. Candidates should be proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing dysrhythmias. Additional responsibilities include assisting with chest tube insertion/removal and managing central lines. Support for interdisciplinary teams will be available, including respiratory therapy and social services. The facility has a daily census of approximately 10 patients. Nurses will provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations. Flexibility in scheduling is crucial as the role may require floating to similar units.
