Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement. Holiday coverage includes working 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays based on unit needs. Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2+. Floating required within skill set to all ICUs, PACU ICU holds, ED ICU holds, and Cardiac IMC units.

- Work in a 628-bed academic Level I Trauma Center affiliated with a major university, providing comprehensive cardiac care including heart transplantation, ventricular assist devices, TAVR, and ECMO
- Care for fresh post-operative cardiac surgery patients including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR procedures in a state-of-the-art cardiovascular intensive care unit
- Utilize advanced cardiovascular devices and technology including Impella, IABP, CRRT with PrisMax, FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, and temporary pacers
- Part of New Jersey's first facility to achieve Comprehensive Cardiac Center accreditation through The Joint Commission and American Heart Association
- EPIC charting system with structured orientation and ongoing education support

Requirements:
- Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (Stroke CEUs)
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience with fresh post-operative cardiac cases; SICU experience may be considered if initial CVICU training was completed
- Demonstrated competency with fresh open heart cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR
- Hands-on experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using PrisMax required
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Proficiency in advanced cardiovascular monitoring including Swan-Ganz catheters, FloTrac/Vigileo, arterial lines, and temporary pacers
- Experience managing ventilated patients, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, and advanced airway interventions
- Skills in post-operative open heart recovery, cardiac drip titration, continuous sedation and paralytic administration, and multisystem organ dysfunction management
- Previous charge experience preferred
