Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse – New Jersey**Start Date:** September 21, 2026 **Location:** New Jersey **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday required; patient ratios typically 1:1 to 1:2 depending on acuity**Highlights:** - Specialized CVICU position focusing on fresh post-operative cardiac surgery patients including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR procedures- Advanced equipment experience required including Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax system- Comprehensive patient care for ventilated patients, chest tubes, lumbar drains, and acute/chronic renal failure- Epic charting system preferred; floating required to all ICU units, PACU, ED ICU holds, and intermediate care units- First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome- Robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more**Requirements:** - Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission- Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience (SICU experience may be considered with initial CVICU training)- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required at time of submission- Essential clinical skills: Post-op open heart recovery, Swan-Ganz/PA line monitoring, FloTrac monitoring, temporary pacers, arterial lines, and chest tube management- Must have hands-on experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax OR documented experience with fresh cardiac surgery cases- Experience with ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, blood product administration, and management of multi-system patients**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work with a complex and rewarding patient population in a fast-paced cardiovascular intensive care environment.
