COVID vaccine optional. Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only. Experience with post-op open hearts, bedside procedures, CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, SWANs, ART lines, central venous catheters, chest tubes, Foley insertion, and NG tubes. Experience with diagnoses including CABG, aortic aneurysm repair/dissection repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, pulmonary embolism, cardiac arrest, endovascular repair, heart failure, MODS, and sepsis. Ability to float within the scope to meet facility needs, including other ICUs, PCU floors, ED, and PACU. Description: The Registered Nurse is needed for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:2. Responsibilities include providing care to critically ill patients recovering from cardiac surgery. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams, including IV teams and respiratory services. The nurse will utilize specialized equipment such as CRRT, ECMO, IABP, and various monitoring systems. The position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to handle high-acuity situations effectively. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a Level I trauma facility. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills to effectively advocate for patient needs. Travel experience is required, and previous charge experience is preferred. Candidates must adhere to the facility's compliance guidelines. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is preferred. No locals will be accepted from within a 100-mile radius.
