EPIC experience required
Ability to work every other holiday
Description:
This position is for a registered nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
The nurse will work night shifts and care for adult and geriatric patients.
The unit typically runs a patient ratio of 1:2.
Candidates should have familiarity with caring for patients post-cardiac surgery, both directly from the operating room and not directly from it.
Experience with pre and post cardiac catheterization/intervention is required.
Monitoring capabilities for pulmonary artery lines and understanding thermodilution are essential.
The ideal candidate is skilled in using advanced cardiac monitoring techniques.
Travel experience is preferred.
Nurses will also need to interpret EKG strips and demonstrate competency in telemetry.
The assignment may include floating to other units as needed based on census.
Candidates must be comfortable with floating without restrictions or special requests.
All required competencies must be completed prior to starting the assignment.
