Key Responsibilities of the RN - CVICU

• Manage 1-3 critically ill patients with varying conditions including neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, and medical/surgical
• Titrate vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, and antiarrhythmics
• Assist with bedside procedures such as RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, and line placements
• Utilize equipment including EPIC EMR, Omnicell, and Aleris IV pumps

Requirements of the RN - CVICU

• ND or compact state RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience in a 200+ bed, level 1 trauma hospital
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, NIHSS certification
• Experience in titrating vasopressor drips and competency in using EPIC
• Charge and/or precept experience
