Start Date: October 1, 2026

Location: Denver, Colorado

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 4 shifts per 4-week schedule including weekend rotation; 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio for critical care

Highlights:
  • 10-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU specializing in congenital cardiac population and medical neonates
  • Designated ECMO Center utilizing advanced equipment including Centrimag, Prismax, Arctic Sun, and more
  • EMR system: Meditech; unit equipment includes Phillips monitors, Med fusion and Baxter pumps
  • Collaborative environment with board-certified pediatric/congenital heart intensivists and multidisciplinary team
  • RN team averages 10 years of nursing experience with high engagement and culture of safety scores
  • Located within a larger PICU (10 additional beds) providing extensive resources and peer support
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Critical Care experience required
  • Current RN license in Colorado (or eligibility for licensure)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Preferred: Experience with peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and ECMO bedside care
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
Typical Responsibilities:
  • Post-operative cardiac care including management of inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions
  • IVF and chest tube management, care of post-sternotomy and open chest patients
  • Moderate sedation administration and monitoring
  • Collaboration with intensivists and multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care
