Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse (CVICU RN) – Montana

Start Date: August 25, 2026

Location: Great Falls, Montana

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Full-time position in a 10-bed CVICU within a critical access facility with expanding cardiac services

Highlights:
  • Immediate post-operative open heart recovery experience required in a specialized 10-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit
  • Work with higher acuity cardiac patients in an expanding cardiac services program
  • Operate advanced medical equipment including A-lines, central lines, chest tubes, ventilatory support, and cardiac telemetry
  • Collaborative team environment with support from Providers, Charge Nurse, ICU Director, and CNO
  • Opportunity for permanent placement with competitive salary range
  • Diverse patient population including post-PCI, pacemaker, CHF, COPD, and broad surgical services
Requirements:
  • Current Montana RN Licensure (or ability to obtain)
  • Degree from an accredited nursing program
  • Recent open heart recovery and critical care nursing experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Experience with hemodynamically unstable cardiac patients and advanced medical equipment
  • Skilled assessment and intervention capabilities for potentially deteriorating conditions
  • Knowledge of basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
