Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,593 per week in Charleston, SC

Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – South Carolina

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Charleston region, South Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend, holiday rotation per facility policy

Highlights:

• 28-bed mixed ICU with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3, including ICU and PCU holds
• Advanced critical care case mix: post-op CABG, impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, CRRT, and advanced hemodynamics
• Specialized neuro and cardiovascular ICU experience available, including EVDs, bolts, Arctic Sun therapy, and aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage care
• Opportunity to train in head and neck flap procedures through one of only 14 programs nationwide
• Meditech EMR system; bedside shift report for all patient handoffs
• Modern equipment including mobile phones for each care team member and computer workstations on wheels

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• 36 months RN experience, with at least 12 months in an ICU setting
• Prior CVICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• At least one previous successful travel nursing assignment preferred, ideally with Meditech experience
• Proficient in reading telemetry strips and managing ventilator patients
• Ability to perform bedside shift report and care for up to 3 ICU patients
• BSN preferred; advanced certifications and TNCC certification preferred
• Comfortable with CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, phlebotomy, and administering respiratory treatments
• Navy uniform required
