The unit has 10 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. Staffing includes unit secretaries and technical support. The unit is equipped with Alaris IV pumps, GE bedside monitors, IABP, and Impella devices. The documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requires working 3 shifts per week, including 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule. On-call requirements may apply, along with a floating policy to medical ICU and floor units. Candidates should have experience with open heart procedures and ECMO cannulation.
