Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) or Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) setting
Manage and monitor fresh open heart surgery patients beginning on post-operative day zero
Utilize the Epic electronic health records system for documentation and patient management
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-acuity environment
Required Qualifications
Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Epic EMR experience required
Influenza vaccination required - no exemptions accepted
Prior experience in CVICU or CTICU, including care of post-operative open heart patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience managing patients on post-operative day zero following open heart surgery
Familiarity with cardiothoracic surgical protocols and hemodynamic monitoring
CCRN or relevant critical care certification
