Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Open heart experience Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. The unit consists of critical care beds including ICU and PCU. The typical nurse-patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 in the ICU and 1:3 in the PCU. The charting system used is EPIC. Nurses will primarily work nights with a weekend requirement every other week. There may be a requirement to float within critical care units. All patients will present with critical care diagnoses. A hospitalist or intensivist will be on-site during the day shift and available virtually during nights. Respiratory therapy and pharmacy services are available 24/7. The facility has a cancellation policy that permits the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per assignment.
