Job Title: RN - Critical Care Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of ICU experience with 1 year of CVICU experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CCRN preferred Must-Have: Competent in invasive line monitoring, chest tubes, cardiac medications, ventilator management, and cardiac rhythm interpretation Description: Manager is open to 36 or 48-hour contracts. Facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU. The unit consists of 30 beds. Patient types include immediate post-op cardiac surgeries, thoracic surgeries, and vascular surgeries. Patient ratios are 1:1, 1:2 for regular ICU status, and 1:3 for mixed status. Technicians support the nursing staff at a ratio of 1:8-10. Support within the department includes a charge nurse with no patient assignment. Dedicated intensivists and surgeons are available 24/7. Telemetry monitoring is conducted at the bedside and nurses' station. Travelers are preferred with specific CV surgical experience. EMR system used is EPIC. Scheduling includes every other weekend rotation, with holiday expectations of 1-2 per contract. A fatigue policy is adhered to, ensuring no more than 60 hours of work per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts. Scrubs should be in any solid color, professional, with no graphics or logos.
