Job Opportunity – CICU Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: July 1, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends

Highlights:

  • 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit with 2:1 or 1:1 patient ratios based on acuity
  • Advanced equipment including ventilators, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
  • Cerner documentation system with telemetry monitoring
  • High-acuity critical care environment with complex cardiac cases
  • Opportunities to support advanced procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, bronchoscopy, and chest tube insertions
  • All-RN unit model with professional autonomy

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state
  • ICU experience required
  • Demonstrated competency in titration of vasoactive medications
  • Experience with pressors, sedation, paralytics, ventilators, and tracheostomy care
  • Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Knowledge of PA catheter setup and interpretation
  • CCRN certification recommended; experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT highly desirable
