Job Title: Cardio-thoracic ICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVICU Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Required experience with vents, IV start, PA lines - Travel experience Description: Position available for a Cardio-thoracic ICU RN. The start date for the position is negotiable. The job requires working night shifts, 3 days per week. Patient ratios will be 1:1. Weekend work is required unless the schedule states otherwise. Candidates should have experience in a cardiovascular intensive care setting. Experience in managing patients with mechanical circulatory support is preferred. Knowledge of drawing arterial blood gases and monitoring high-risk patients is essential. The role involves caring for post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients. Candidates must be proficient with PACERS, Swans, and post-operative care. Experience with heart and lung transplant patients is preferred. Must possess strong skills in interpreting dysrhythmias. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to coordinate effectively within a team. Floating to other ICU units may be required based on patient needs. Compliance with job-specific training is mandatory. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
