# Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift with rotating weekends and holidays. Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday for night shift). Patient ratios 1:1 to 1:2. Float requirements to units of equivalent or lower acuity level.
Highlights:- Specialized cardiovascular intensive care unit with 30 beds serving complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients
- Comprehensive case mix including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, ECMO, and aortic repairs
- Epic electronic medical records system in use facility-wide
- Advanced critical care equipment including ventricular assist devices, ECMO, CRRT, Swan Ganz monitoring, IABP, Impella, and total artificial heart technology
- Interdisciplinary team support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and specialized interpretation services
- 36-hour orientation program to support successful onboarding
Requirements:- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Required clinical skills: IV start, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, Swan Ganz/PA line monitoring, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pump management
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process required promptly upon contract signing
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
