Description:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiovascular ICU nursing setting.
The candidate must possess a current Indiana or compact RN license.
Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications are required.
Open-heart recovery experience is preferred.
The role may involve floating to similar units and progressive care units as needed.
The nurse to patient ratio may range from 1:1 or 1:2 on the ICU side to 1:3 or 1:4 on the step-down side.
The unit operates as a mixed acuity environment.
Patient care involves managing patients from post-operative recovery through to preparation for discharge or transfer.
Familiarity with EPIC charting and medication management systems is valuable.
Mandatory attendance for orientation is required.
Compliance with dress code regulations, including scrubs, is expected.
