Description:
Seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care unit.
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiovascular ICU setting.
Candidates must hold a current RN license in Indiana or a compact state.
BLS and ACLS certifications from the AHA are mandatory.
Open-heart recovery experience is preferred.
The unit comprises a mixed acuity setting with a focus on distinct skill sets between ICU and progressive levels of care.
ICU nurses will provide care for patients immediately following surgery.
Patients will remain in this unit throughout their cardiovascular stay.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 on the ICU side and 1:3 or 1:4 on the step-down side.
Floating to like units may be required as needed.
The dress code is Caribbean blue scrubs.
Candidates must be committed to mandatory attendance for all scheduled training days.
The facility utilizes EPIC charting and Pyxis for medication management.
