Job Opportunity – Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina

Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends. Floating to all areas as needed.
Highlights:
- 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit specializing in complex cardiovascular care
- Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity
- Advanced equipment including ventilators, telemetry, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
- Electronic medical records via Cerner documentation system
- Exposure to complex procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
- Scrub color: Navy or Navy and White
Requirements:
- Current North Carolina RN license or compact license
- ICU experience required with demonstrated competency in critical care nursing
- Must have experience with: titration of vasoactive medications, pressors, sedation, paralytics, ventilator management, tracheostomy care, telemetry interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and PA catheter setup and interpretation
- Requested skills: transvenous pacing, cardioversion, TEE, chest tube insertion and maintenance
- Advanced skills desired: IABP, Impella, CRRT experience
- CCRN certification appreciated but not required
- Adherence to facility dress code policies
