Description:
This is a cardiovascular intensive care unit position focusing on immediate post-surgical recovery.
The unit has a bed capacity of 4 with a patient care ratio of 1:1 for immediate post-surgical patients and 1:2 for patients on post-operative days 1-3.
Primary nursing is practiced in this unit, with unit secretaries and tech availability to support staff.
Experience in a new cardiac surgery program is preferred, as this is part of a recent program launch.
Navy blue is the required uniform for this position.
Candidates should be prepared for a rotating schedule that includes weekend shifts every four weeks.
Floating to other units may occur, maintaining the same patient care ratios as assigned.
