Any call-offs or additional requests for time off could possibly lead to a cancellation. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience. First-time travelers will not be considered. Locals are accepted at the same rate for this need. The target patient ratio is 1:1 at night and 2:1 on weekends. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. This unit specializes in post open heart recovery. The patient population includes those recovering from thoracotomies, esophagogastrectomies, and TAVR procedures. Advanced procedures such as CRRT, Impella, and IABP are also performed in this unit. The position requires floating within the facility as needed. All candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility. Candidates will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Pre-start modules must be completed online prior to starting, using designated browsers. Candidates should confirm their ability to attend hospital orientation classes. Scrubs should be navy, white, or a combination of the two.
