Description:
Flexible scheduling offers self-scheduling.
Ratios are 1:2.
Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs.
May be floated to other ICUs, PCU floors, ED to care for admitted patients, and PACU to care for admitted patients.
Special requirements include Post-Op Open Hearts, bedside tach/peg, bedside surgical procedures, CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, SWANNs, ART lines, CVCs, chest tubes, Foley insertion, and NG tubes.
Common patient diagnoses include CABG, aortic aneurysm repair/dissection repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, pulmonary embolism, cardiac arrest, endovascular repair, heart failure, MODS, and sepsis.
Experience with equipment such as CRRT, Hemosphere, Bladerscanner, Cortrak, ultrasound, monitors, Impella, IABP, ECMO, ZOLL, Dopplers, Glidescope, Pupilometer, Blanketrol, Arctic Sun, Belmont, and BairHugger is required.
Unit details include a total of 12 beds, with a focus on adult and geriatric patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.
Patient care involves various specialized procedures, such as post-op open hearts, CRRT, ECMO, and monitoring intensive care patients.
Shifts available are typically 36 or 48-hour contracts.
A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is preferred, with one holiday preferred.
No requests for time off during the first 7 days of the contract or the last day of the contract will be accepted.
