Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Cardiovascular ICU – North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio depending on acuity; every other weekend required
Highlights:
- 19-bed mixed CVICU/CVRU unit providing cardiac surgical services for approximately 850 heart surgeries annually
- High-acuity unit featuring ECMO, Impella, IABP, and LVAD support with dedicated specialty teams
- GE monitoring systems and Cerner EMR platform
- Comprehensive orientation provided by unit educator with support from experienced charge nurses
- Float opportunities to all ICUs, step-down units, and other areas as needed

Requirements:
- Active RN license in state of practice
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU or cardiovascular recovery unit experience required
- Critical care training and background essential
- Critical Care (CCRN), Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room certification preferred
- Experience with cardiac surgical procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, chest tube and pacer wire removal, intubation/extubation, and mechanical circulatory support devices
