Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric cardiac patients in a newly established CVICU environment
- Support patients both pre- and post-operatively following cardiac surgical procedures
- Maintain scheduling flexibility to accommodate surgical case demands, including every other weekend and holidays
- Participate in on-call availability as required by unit needs
- Float to PICU, general Pediatrics, and NICU as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or compact state eligibility
- Prior experience in a CVICU or cardiovascular/pediatric critical care setting
- Ability to work nights, every other weekend, and holidays
- Willingness to be on call and float to related pediatric units
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a pediatric or neonatal intensive care environment (PICU or NICU)
- Familiarity with pre- and post-operative cardiac surgical patient management in a pediatric population
- Comfort working in a newly developed or evolving specialty unit
