Job Opportunity – CVICU Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Full-time; 2 weekends per month required; rotating holiday coverage including 1 summer holiday and 2 winter holidays; 16-bed unit with 1:2 patient ratio (1:1 for certain device patients)

Highlights:

• Specialized cardiovascular intensive care unit supporting 5 full-time cardiac surgeons performing high-volume and advanced cardiac surgeries
• Dedicated intensivist assigned to the unit 24/7 for optimal patient care and clinical support
• Advanced cardiovascular technology including ECMO, Centrimags, HM3 LVADs, IABP, Impella, and CRRT
• Comprehensive hemodynamic monitoring with PA catheters; participate in central line insertion, swan insertion, and intubations performed on unit
• Documentation system: Meditech; Phillips bedside telemetry monitors and Alaris IV pumps
• Award-winning unit: HCA Unit of Distinction Award Winner and Daisy Award Recipient
• Supportive staffing structure with free-floating charge nurse, unit secretary, and administrative care tech available weekdays

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical care experience, including CVICU experience mandatory
• Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
• Willingness to float to other ICU settings as needed
