Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN – Tennessee
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends (2 per month); holiday rotation includes 1 summer holiday and 2 winter holidays
Highlights:
- 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction Award Winner and Daisy Award Recipient
- Work with 5 full-time cardiac surgeons performing high-volume and advanced cardiac surgeries with 24/7 intensivist support
- Specialize in post-operative cardiac surgery care including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADs
- Patient ratios of 1:2 standard, 1:1 for specific device patients, with free-floating charge nurse support
- Utilize Meditech documentation system with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors and Alaris IV pumps
- Support team includes unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech (M-F) plus Student Nurse Externs on variable shifts
Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical care experience, including CVICU experience required
- Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required
- Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
- Experience with central line insertion, swan insertion, and intubation procedures preferred
