Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
Monitor and assess critically ill cardiovascular patients, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Illinois or compact licensure eligibility
Current BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Prior experience in a CVICU or cardiovascular critical care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
Familiarity with ventricular assist devices (VADs) or IABP management
Previous travel nursing experience
