# Job Opportunity – Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse – South Central Texas**Start Date:** October 2026**Location:** San Antonio, Texas**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** Rotating shifts (day and night available); 12-hour shifts; every other weekend requirement; floating to pediatric units and NICU as needed**Highlights:**- 24-bed Pediatric ICU caring for critically ill patients across all body systems including respiratory, neuro, GI, GU, plastics, burns, DKA, cardiac, ortho, and ENT- Patient ratios: 2:1 standard, 1:1 for high acuity, 3:1 for step-down patients- Advanced equipment including ventilators, infusion pumps, chest tubes, central lines, syringe pumps, tracheostomies, and feeding tubes- EMR system: Meditech- Opportunity to work with specialty populations including ECMO and CRRT patients- Collaborative team environment with charge nurse, bedside RNs, and unit coordinator support on each shift**Requirements:**- Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain)- PALS certification required- ICU-level patient care experience required- Intubated/ventilator management experience required- ECMO experience (patient care) preferred- CRRT experience preferred- Experience with central lines, chest tubes, sedation procedures, lumbar punctures, and intubation support**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This role offers the chance to provide life-saving care to critically ill pediatric patients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
