# Job Opportunity – CVICU Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 2 weekends per month; holiday rotation includes 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) and 2 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day); floating to other ICUs as needed
Highlights:- 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit with high-volume advanced cardiac surgery program supported by 5 full-time surgeons
- Specialize in post-operative cardiac surgery care including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADs
- Patient ratios of 1:2 standard, 1:1 for device-specific patients with free-floating charge nurse support
- Intensivist assigned to unit 24/7; perform advanced procedures including central line insertion, Swan-Ganz insertion, and intubations on unit
- Advanced cardiac devices including PA catheters, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, and CRRT
- HCA Unit of Distinction Award Winner and Daisy Award Recipient facility
- Meditech documentation system with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors and Alaris IV pumps
- Unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech available Monday-Friday; Student Nurse Externs provide additional support on variable shifts
Requirements:- Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- Strong critical care experience with CVICU background required
- Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required
- Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Adherence to dress code: black, red, or galaxy blue scrubs with approved scrub jackets/vests only
