Job Title: Travel RN - CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: Required certifications for critical care Must-Have: Critical Care Competency Experience with vasoactive infusions Experience with arterial lines Experience with invasive central lines Experience with ventilator management Description: Travel opportunity for an experienced RN in the CVICU. The unit has a capacity of 24 beds. Patient ratios follow hospital-specific guidelines. Primary RN model with unit support staff. Type of equipment includes IV pumps and rapid transfusion systems. Documentation is managed through specified EMR systems. Scheduling requires 36 hours per week, with every other weekend or three weekend shifts per month. Floating to critical care units may be necessary. The unit performs procedures including chest tube placement, central line placement, and bronchoscopy. This unit operates as an ECMO center with a focus on high-risk patients. Advanced skills in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery are preferred but not required. Dress code includes royal blue scrubs.
