Ensure safe, evidence-based interventions aligned with organizational policies and clinical standards. Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, evaluating outcomes and adjusting treatment to optimize patient safety and recovery. Administer physician and nursing orders promptly, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and advancing quality improvement initiatives. Lead discharge planning efforts, collaborating with patients and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions and effective post-acute care planning. Provide care for a patient population consisting of high-risk cardiac surgery and advanced heart failure cases. Manage complex procedures such as open-heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT. Utilize Swan-Ganz catheters and Continuous Cardiac Output monitoring as part of patient care.
