Description:
This position is in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
The unit has 16 beds and a staff of 45.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1 on both day and night shifts.
Team members include 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) and a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
The equipment used includes GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (NextStage), Impella, Swan Ganz, arterial lines, chest tubes, and vents.
Electronic medical records are managed through Meditech.
Typical procedures performed in the unit include hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz catheterization, arterial line placement, and chest tube management.
The ideal candidate should be a team player who thrives in a collaborative care environment.
Floating to other areas such as Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, and Cardiac Progressive Care Unit may be required.
The dress code consists of royal blue scrubs.
There are 2 weekend shifts required biweekly, with no on-call obligations.
