Cardiac OR RNFA – Travel Nursing OpportunityShift Details
- 3x12-hour shifts per week
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Primarily weekdays, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- On-call responsibilities per unit need
Position Overview
- Cardiac OR setting requiring a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
- RNFA must be able to assist with chest exposure and closing
- RNFA must be able to independently perform vein harvesting for CABGs
- Ability to first assist in DaVinci robotic cases is preferred but not required
- Ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases is preferred but not required
Case Types
- CABGs
- Structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall)
- Minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement)
- Heart failure cases (e.g., Impella)
- Heart transplants — experience in heart transplant is preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
- AHA BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- ACLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- NYS RN License (New York License ONLY)
- CNOR Certification
- Telemetry experience
