Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 13-26 week assignments available. Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week schedule (flexible). Patient ratios average 1:6, varying by acuity. Will follow unit rotation for floating assignments.

- Electronic charting system: Epic EMR with Pyxis medication management
- 24 hours of unit orientation provided
- Strong interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and specialty services
Requirements
- Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry floor experience required
- Travel nursing experience required (waived for candidates with 24+ months cardiac experience)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, PCU/stepdown care, sheath removal, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with cardiac drips (management and titration), chest tubes, non-invasive airway management including BiPAP/CPAP
- Knowledge of post-MI care and pre/post cardiac catheterization procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Arterial line management experience
- Wound care and wound vacuum therapy experience
- Previous charge nurse experience
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Special Considerations
- Contract staff will be assigned to Storm/Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Pre-start online modules required (8-10 hours, non-billable)
- Must complete all compliance testing within 48 hours of contract signing
- Interview required for all candidates prior to offer
