# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiac Telemetry Unit – North Carolina

Location: Salisbury, North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period. Float and on-call requirements based on patient census.
Highlights:
- Primary cardiac and stroke telemetry unit with high patient turnover (78-90 patients weekly)
- Patient ratios 1:5-6 with team lead support for admissions and discharges
- Manage pre/post procedure cardiac patients including pacemakers, cardiac catheterizations, CVA/TIA, and cardiac drips requiring titration
- Epic (Dimensions) charting system with 36-hour orientation program
- Contract length: 20 weeks or longer, through February 27 end date

Requirements:
- Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in a similar high-acuity telemetry or stepdown environment
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Proficiency with IV starts, cardiac telemetry monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Experience managing and titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine)
- Comfortable managing 6-patient assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with post-cardiac catheterization care, TR bands, and cardiac device patients
- Ability to float within facility as needed
